How to change a fuel pump on a 2002 Yukon XL?

Changed the fuel filter, but still won%26#039;t stay running after it gets warmed up. Any help changing the pump would be helpful!! Thanks.|||contact your dealer for best info|||The fuel pump is inside the gas tank. you have to drain the tank, drop it down and remove the sending unit which has the fuel pump attached to it. it is a real pain to do. Before you go through all of this you should ensure it is a fuel pressure problem.|||now a days for new vehicles, the fuel pump is usually inside the gas tank. i changed a fuel pump on a chevy silverado so it shouldn%26#039;t be too hard, (same corporation xD) just take of the gas tank and that top contains mystical ponys! lol naa it has the fuel pump and the fuel gauge thingy.|||You need to take the vehicle to someone who is familiar with the vehicle and find the problem and fix it rather than making a lot of expensive guesses. The fuel pump module is in the fuel tank and cost about $500.00 maybe more.
