I'm changing the fuel pump and want to get the debris out of the tank What is the best thing to flush it with?

The tank is already out and the inside of it looks clean. there is debris floating around in it. It has sat for a while and this is obviously not the first pump they have installed I say they because i just bought the truck yesterday I%26#039;m lookin for a cheap simple solution.|||I%26#039;m sorry Guys but ..................DON%26#039;T TAKE THE TANK APART ! AND DON%26#039;T USE ACID ON IT ! If the stuff in the tank is just floating around then tip the tank up on one corner and siphon the gas out of it. Then all you have to do is either get a rag on a stick and wipe the tank clean or let it dry and vacuum it out. If the tank is rusty inside then it should go to a shop to be boiled out and then resealed inside with a special coating that is not Patroleum solluable. or just find a better tank.|||Glad I could Help ! huntnyou

|||u gotta take it all apart.......sand blast......dry overnight at least.....there is no such thing as the corner-cutting solution u want.....|||Acid work wonders.

But be cautious as it burns.|||You can dump all the gass out and spray out with water let it dry then spray carbrator cleaner in evaporats fast.|||Take about a gallon of fresh gas, seal the tank up, shake it like its a matter of life and death, and then pour the gas out through a hole that allows you to remove the junk as well. Gas tanks can be a pain, but this has been what I%26#039;ve done with snowmobile tanks for years and I always get satisfactory results.
