1975 winnebago indian motorhome is not getting gas to the fuel pump?

i filled up the tanks, and changed out the fuel pump, and the filters. the problem is that there is no gas even getting the the fuel pump, but not even a week ago it was running. Am i going to have to take the fuel tank off to find out what the problem is? Because the tanks sit high and it is hard to see anything on top (that is where the lines go in). Please help.

more than likely you have an in tank fuel pump thats went bad.Check with winnebago and find out if you have an in tank pump.Check your fuse box to make sure you didnt blow a fuse.if youve got 2 gas tanks try switching them over.if you do have in tank pumps its very rare that both would go out at same time.Hope this helps

Yes,Some times the fuel lines plug up, crack or break off in the fuel tank and no fuel can be drawn. You will have to drain all of the fuel out first before dropping the tank.Note ;You might try compressed air in the fuel line to free up fuel line.
In many motor homes, there is another fuel filter about in the middle of the fuel line about half way from the fuel tank to the fuel pump. I had one that was totally plugged and when I found it and changed it, my troubles were over.

Start at the fuel tank then follow the fuel line towards the motor. You should find another fuel filter about half way down the line.

Another prossibility is, the interior of the fuel line itself has deteriorated and is plugging the line... you can easily run another line if necessary.
Something that old may have cracked rubber fuel lines.

If the fuel lines are cracked, air will get sucked into them instead of gas from the tank.
If there is not another filter in the line, remove the gas cap and blow short bursts of compressed air back through the fuel line into the tank. You should hear the air bubble in the tank. If this fixes the problem you may have to pull the tank and clean or replace the fine mesh screen on the fuel pick up inside your fuel tank.
