easiest way is to take the bed of the truck off. its like 4 bolts and disconnect the wireing and the fuel filler neck and 4 guys can lift it right off and this way you dont have to mess with dropping the tank.

empty then remove the gas tank. the pump comes out the top of the tank.
well start by taking off the old one then you get another one and put it on
