Change fuel pump and filter for jeep wagoneer 1989 wanted to know where fuse is located, will not fire?

Chase down why you aren't getting ignition before you buy more parts.

If you mean a 89 4.0 small Wagoneer with fuel injection, not getting ignition to the engine can be a lot of old school stuff - bad cap, rotor, wires, coil, etc. The fuel injection does need to calculate the engine position and timing for the injection - the computer does it all - and it does the same for ignition from the same source - a %26quot;cam position%26quot; sensor in the distributor, and a Crankshaft Position Sensor on the bellhousing.

I would disconnect and clean the connection for the CPS first. It's located at the back of the manifold next to the firewall. If it cranks up and starts, plan on replacing it soon anyway. If not, it could be completely shot, and a voltmeter to check the ohms resistance will find if it's in spec.

On late models with FI, always science out the sensors with a voltmeter first, before throwing money at parts that don't fix it.
