i know the pump is located under the back seat in a honda civic, but my pump went out in my accord and the shop thats working on it said they had to drop the tank to change the pump. I went by the shop today and could see that my back seat was out of the my car. why else would they need to take out my back seat? i think they are trying to scam me on the labor..

Find out for yourself if the back seat is still out and there is an access plate on the floorboard then the pump is changeable without removing tank.
