I have a chevy astro van, it would start and run for a little then die i just changed the fuel pump?

i just changed the fuel pump, but its still doing the same thing. some 1 said maybe its the fuel regulator, where is that located its an 89 4.3 not a vortec , or what else could it be?

I would check for trouble codes. You can do this with a simple paper clip on OBD1 models if you don't have a scan tool. Locate the ALDL connector under the dash board and ground the two top terminals on the right side (A and B if they are marked). Turn the key to the on position but do not start and count how many times the check engine light blinks. BLINK BLINK pause BLINK BLINK BLINK would be 23. 12 means no trouble codes. Once you get the code, you'll have to look it up in a Haynes manual or post here and see if some one can diagnose it for you and take it from there.

Did you replace the fuel filter too? That is usually required for warranty on the pump.
try putting a new distributor on it, seems like it might be losing fire somewhere
