I recently changed the fuel pump in my 99 chevy silverado and now theres a high pitched whine or hum coming from it. It seems to be running fine, though. Also, ever since I changed it, the digital odometer, %26quot;message center%26quot; and digital gear indicator is out. Would this just be a fuse or something in the lines connected to the fuel pump?

Kinda sounds like you might not have the ground installed, did you drop the tank or raise the bed??

Sounds like a bad fuel pump, or it was installed incorrectly and touching another piece of metal, which is causing a loud vibrating noise.
It means it's pumping..
some fuel pumps make that noise when they run its just how they are
