Changing a fuel pump help?

My friend has a leaking fuel pump and it's leaking diesel into the oil which is making it thinner?

How would she go about fixing it? Step by step.

Thanks :)

Thats not possible. Fuel pumps can't leak into the oil. Take it to a mechanic and have them fix it, because you're WAY off and DEFINATELY not qualified to be repairing a vehicle.

Since you don't mention which brand, the basics are simple; unscrew the feed and return lines from the pump then remove the retaining bolts. Remove the pump and scrape all the old gasket material from the mating surface. Install a new gasket and the new pump, retaining bolts and reattach the fuel lines.
Don't listen to that T-Boogie. Injector pumps CAN leak fuel into your oil. They are gear driven and if the front seal goes out fuel WILL make it to your oil. That being said, you can do this if you have any mechanical ability at all. The other guy basically said all i can without knowing if its a duramax or power stroke or what.

BTW...... I am not sure if you know but if it is the injector pump they are NOT cheap!!! Seriously man, they are rediculous!!!!
